I’m part of the Personal Trainer Food campaign. I was given the food for review, but all opinions are my own. This post contains affiliate links, which give you an awesome discount, and a little for me and my family too! Every little bit helps!
I have to say that I’m proud of myself for making it this far. I’ve been consistent and can really see my progress. Clothes that I haven’t worn in a LONG while are fitting (well, almost)! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I diligently read all of the materials that came with the package. That’s a lot for me. If you’ve seen other reviews, I normally dive right into the product because I know realistically, most people don’t read the directions, and I want to see how hard it is to use or work it without reading it.
Then I started receiving emails that had a video. For some reason, I thought that the video was going to be very time consuming, so I put it off. With the kids around, I just didn’t carve out any time for it.
BIG MISTAKE!
These videos not only explain what you’re doing and why you’re doing it, they also explain what will happen to your body during the process.
I felt comforted by them, realizing I’m not alone, and everything I’ve experienced is well within the normal range. They also explained that my obsessive diligent scale watching wasn’t doing me any good and I have to put away the scale, at least for a while. The slight fluctuations of our eating and water intake can make our weight vary greatly and I shouldn’t get caught up in the numbers, but how my clothes feel.
And they are fitting nicer.
I will start implementing an ab workout in my daily routine because, well, because doing ab workouts always feel good after you do them, right?

After working out is ALWAYS best! 😉 I am glad you found something that motivates you!!!! 😀
Yes! It\’s hard for me to take it slow, but it seems to be working!
April – good for you for putting the scale away. I don't even have one. It broke years ago when we moved and I never bought another one. I just go by how I feel and how my clothes fit. I do get weighed about once a year at my doctor's visit for a check up but that is it.
Yes, I wish I could just "go without", but there's an elusive number that I just can't get under. I'll feel a lot better when I do.
Hahaha! I hate reading the directions to things sometimes as well, unless I need them to know how to do a specific thing. I'm glad you are finding this to be motivating. The scale is something that we all like to see progress on for sure, but I definitely like this new philosophy going around that says to not look at it.
Well, they want you to concentrate on listening to your body and seeing how your clothes fit, instead the numbers on the scale because for each of us, that number is different.
Honestly, there is something so liberating about having all your meals planned out like this for you… A lot of people go on about how you shouldn't "obsess" about calories or plan it to death, but in my experience, if it is NOT planned, there is NOTHING stopping me from running to the bakery and ordering a head sized chocolate pastry. I need structure in my diet!!!!! 😛
Believe me, I could plan my entire day in a couple of minutes, "cooking" took up to three minutes in the microwave, and that was it. I didn't have to make a meal for the family, then a "special" meal for me and feel left out. It's easy to go to the bakery, especially if you know you have to go home and cook and you're hungry NOW!
