Our Easy Marriage Isn’t Perfect

Guess what? There’s this great new site called “Marriage, Motherhood and Missions” and I’m a contributor for it! I don’t discuss religion a lot on this site, but it is a cornerstone of my life. My belief and faith in God is the foundation of how I live my life. Does that mean I’m perfect? No… and let me tell you a little about my marriage over there today!

  2. Hi, April! Nice to "meet" you. I found you by way of the Bloggy Moms blog hop. I just had baby #2 — and I still have the extra weight to prove it — so your blog title caught my eye in the loooooong list of blog titles…My name is Courtney and I blog over at The Brown Girl with Long Hair (http://www.thebrowngirlwithlonghair.com/.) Well, just wanted to say hi. I'm heading over to read your marriage blog post now…

      • Connection is so important in marriage. My husband and I had been together for some years before we got married and the year we got married he had been given orders to deploy. It was a full year of trying to come together while inevitably growing apart. It's so important to make time to remain one and build and maintain your oneness asa couple! It's nice to see another wife that feels that way. For my household, it just wasn't important enough to have so many activities going on that we weren't getting that family time in. But like you say.. God has yet to stop blessing.. And I look forward to the lessons and favor along the way.

        • We haven't gotten family time together since we moved, but that's on my agenda! I just need to get some things unpacked for my own mentality. I am determined to bring us together! God has blessed us and I want us to be able to broadcast our blessings, not break them down or destroy them.
