I’ve been a rep for Beachbody for almost three years now, and love all of the products that I’ve tried (P90x, Insanity, TurboFire, Hip Hop Abs, and Shakeology). I have completely fallen off the BB bandwagon, not because I don’t love the programs, but between being pregnant, moving across country, living with family, and having a broken DVD player, it just wasn’t happening.
Late last week, I finally figured out what was wrong with our DVD player. Miss B stuck a business card in it! And today, I pulled out my workout DVDs.
Then I log in to my back office and start reading about this new thing that’s been going on! The 21 Day Fix. What is the 21 Day Fix? It’s a super simple way to get your portions under control added with short 30 minute workouts.
Now, if you’ve been following me on (which I hope you have), I’ve been working out steadily. Yet I’ve been struggling to get my eating back on track. When you’re in transition and you don’t really have control of your own refrigerator, you tend to eat differently than normal, and make awful choices. (I hope I’m not alone.)
So, after we moved in out our new home (which I’ll tell you about soon, I promise), I had to rebuild our entire kitchen. I never realized how expensive it was to start from scratch. You might think, hey just go buy some chicken, and veggies, but you have to buy snacks for the kids, and seasonings, and organic foods.
Plus, I breastfeed, and don’t you feel so hungry after you’re done. You feel like everything you eat, goes away. I spend most of my day FEELING famished. But I know it’s just a feeling.
I’ll be blunt. Our budget just didn’t go far enough to cover everything we NEEDED and everything I wanted. So I’ve failed in my eating. And even after all of my consistency, I haven’t lost a pound.
But I know why.
It’s because I don’t watch my eating. And over the weekend, I was looking at myself in the mirror, thinking about what I want to vlog about on this week’s Finish the Sentence Friday, and realized that I’m not being fair to me.
I’m working hard to be committed to working out and toning and not paying a lick of attention to my eating.
So, there it is. There’s the update. I will say that today I made homemade veggie soup and homemade bread, which was delicious, but I need to do more. And I think this is it!
I would love if you’d join me on this journey. I’m so ready to make this change for myself and my family. After 20 days of running/walking, I should be farther ahead. So I’m going to get there!
